The glasses add an extra foot to your visual height and act as a periscope as they extend up into the air and provide a good overview of what’s ahead. Perfect if you are in a crowd or behind a giant.
“It works well”
Dominic Wilcox talks about the experience that inspired his invention.
“I was standing at a gig and turned to see a small woman dancing away but unable to see the band due to the tall people in front of her. This gave me the idea to design a way for people to see over obstacles such as six-foot-plus people like me. It works well, though dancing with it on might be a challenge!” Dominic said.
Wilcox created the design so that the glasses include a smaller mirror positioned upwards at a 45-degree angle towards a large mirror which points outwards.
It should make the wearer get a clear picture of what is ahead. He showed the unique glasses at the Extraordinary Solutions to everyday Problems exhibit in the D&AD Festival in London.
“Creativity is important because the world has many problems and challenges, and we need a lot more people with creative solutions to solve them,” said Wilcox, according to The Sun.
