Flirtatious man buys 20-yr-old several drinks at the bar – but a text the next day makes her stop dating

If you are out in the pub and see someone you like, it’s not strange to say hello and ask if you can share a drink or two and see if it goes well. This is the most common way to meet people up without using things like dating sites.

Wanted to buy her a few drinks

When British 20-year-old Chlo Matthews was out with her friends, a man came to her and asked if he could buy her a drink.

Chlo, who was also interested in the man, said yes. And after a few drinks, it seemed like they hit it off.

At the end of the night, they switched phone numbers so that they could have a proper first date later on.

But the next day, things didn’t go the way Chlo thought.

“Who is this?”

Chlo got a message from this man the next day, but it wasn’t to ask her out on a real date.

“Officially retiring from nights out”

Of course, Chlo rejected the man, and posted a picture of their conversation online, with the following text:

“So a guy bought me a drink when I was out last night and I gave him my number and…

Chlo Matt is officially retiring from nights out.”

The picture has gotten over 60,000 likes online already, and Chlo has received a lot of support from others that can’t figure out what is wrong with this man either.

“This is a joke, surely? Is this what society has come to?” Wrote a user. According to The Mirror.

“Wow, I have no words, apart from what the actual f*** is wrong with people! Send him a penny and say that was what he was worth.” Wrote another.

One wonders if chivalry is actually dead after reading these kinds of stories!
