Having to pay a premium for things we need to buy is one of the most annoying things ever.
Renting a car, a dinner at a normal-looking restaurant, buying furniture, or anything else – it is rage-inducing to find yourself paying an unfair price. But you only have yourself to blame, because you must know what you are getting yourself into, especially if you are paying for it.

A married couple is traveling by car to visit their family across the state. They are both seniors, so after twelve hours on the road, they feel too tired to continue and decided to stop at a hotel for a quick rest. They slept for a few hours and were ready to get back on the road.
Went mad when they saw the bill
When they checked out, the receptionist handed them a bill for $450.00. They exploded and demanded to know why it was so high. The man said:
“Even if it’s a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren’t worth $450.00 for 3 or 4 hours.” But the receptionist insisted that $450.00 is the ‘standard rate.’ So the old man asked to speak to the Manager.
The Manager appears, listens to him, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a vast conference center available for them to use.
“But we didn’t use any of those,” the husband replied.
“Well, they are here, and you could have,” explains the Manager, clearly trying to sass the elderly couple. He explained that the couple could also have watched one of the shows for which the hotel is famous.
“We have the best entertainers from New York, Hollywood, and Las Vegas perform here,” the Manager said.
“But we didn’t go to any of those,” the husband said.
“Well, we have them, and you could have.” the Manager replied.
The Manager had no change of heart
No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, the husband kept replying: “But we didn’t use it!” The Manager showed no change of heart, and eventually, the husband gave up and agreed to pay.
As he didn’t have his checkbook with him, he asked his wife to write the check. She did and gave it to the Manager.
The Manager, surprised after looking at the check, said:
“Excuse me, this is made out for only $50.00.”
“That’s correct. I charged you $300.00 for sleeping with me,” the old lady replied. “But I didn’t!” exclaims the Manager.
“Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have.”
Never mess with senior citizens… They didn’t make it that far by being stupid!
