Horses are fascinating animals. They can share very strong bonds with their owners. A loyal, cuddly and incredibly intelligent being.
The last one it’s an understatement, their potential is limitless.
But did you know that they can pick locks? No, me neither – but Mariska, the horse, it’s actually a master locksmith, and no door can stop her.
The owners of Mariska wondered how all the horses were getting out of the stable every day – there were no workers opening their doors, after all. Were there thieves trying to take their animals?

Well, maybe not – but how did all the horses get outside every morning?
Something strange and mysterious was going on. The doors to the boxes didn’t open themselves. Still, most horses were out by morning – and this kept happening for a while.
Finally, the owners set up cameras to find out what was going on in the stable. Then they made a surprising discovery – the horse Mariska was the secret lockpicker.
In the clip (below) you can see how this sneaky horse, first gets out of her box – then lets her friends out of theirs. I’ve never seen anything like it – talk about the Houdini of horses.
