Internet Shopping: Woman buys sexy summer dress online

Shopping for clothes online is not easy. You have no idea how the garment is actually going to fit you, if the quality is decent, or if the color will look anything like the picture.

It’s a bit of a gamblebut, of course, people are willing to take that risk. Especially for the past couple of years, with the pandemic and all.

One of these gamblers is Courtney Henderson. She bought a beautiful dress online – but was shocked when she tried her new garment on for the first time.

You could say that the dress showed a bit more skin than she was planning to.

Courtney Henderson is a sales manager from Newcastle, UK. To celebrate her birthday, she planned a night out with her friends. But she needed a new, sexy, and provocative dress for the important event.

She paid over $80

She found the perfect dress—a green and modern garment that exposed the ideal amount of skin.

The dress was 65 British pounds, or just over $80—and judging from the photos on the website, it was just what she needed. The open sections on the sides, made to show some skin, were a pretty clever and sexy detail.

Or so it seemed—until Courtney’s new dress arrived and she tried it on.

As you can imagine, unlike the website’s photos, the dress showed more than just the skin from her hips.

The open sections of the garment showed—yep, you guessed it, Courtney’s boobs.

The proportions were completely wrong, missing her entire breasts. The fit was not even close to the pictures from the website.

The dress is a “best seller”

She posted a picture on social media, expressing her dissatisfaction by attaching a hilarious photo—and of course, it went viral.

Other users said that this is a perfect example of why you can’t trust online shops and you must try the clothes in person first.

A spokesperson for the company Dressmezze said, according to the Daily Mail:

“Our Ex-Lovers dress has continuously been one of our best sellers since being added to the website last year. If you check out our tagged images on Instagram, you will see we have had many customers who have worn the dress and have been super happy with it. We can only apologize that the dress was not suitable for the customer.

“Our website clearly states a very fair 14-day return policy. Of course, not all poor fittings generate as much publicity as Courtney’s. So as a gesture of goodwill and thanks for all the extra publicity, in addition to her refund, we’re happy to offer 25% off her next purchase.”

Courtney decided to return the dress. Since I don’t think it’s legal to walk around looking like that, no matter how funny it looks.
