New research: Women with big butts are smarter and healthier than thin women

The study was first published in 2010, and has since then been widely spread online. The results show that women with bigger butts are less likely to experience certain chronic illnesses.

Apparently, a big behind doesn’t just please the eye. This study shows that women with big butts are less likely to have diabetes and heart problems.

Researchers at the University of Oxford discovered that body fat in the thighs and backside produce a hormone that better metabolizes sugar and other nutrients, while belly fat has the opposite effect. When the researchers say “big butts”, they are referring to the size of the backside in proportion to the belly.

Kylie Jenner and her sisters are known for their big butts.

More intelligent

And having a big butt requires an excess of Omega 3 fats, which have been proven to improve brain development.

The study also found that children born to women with wider hips are smarter than the children of slimmer mothers. This is probably caused by the Omega 3 fats transmitted to the children via breast milk.

So the next time you think that your hiney is too big, don’t forget: it means that you’re smart and healthy!
