Research confirms: Cinnamon buns make you horny

What makes us horny varies from person to person, but there are things that have proved to be an aphrodisiac for many people.

Experts have researched fragrances for a long time and have determined that some aromas such as lavender, vanilla and some types of wood cause our sexual desire to go up.

And now there’s a study suggesting that cinnamon buns are highly aphrodisiac as well.

There is a lot of things that affect our sexual desire. Stress, fatigue, physical shape, the list keeps going on. But something that may play a greater role than we think is our sense of smell.

Cinnamon buns are the most aphrodisiac

Different people react to different scents, it depends on the individual. But according to researcher Alan R. Hirsch from the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation at the University of Chicago, there are some scents that make us hornier than others, according to a study he conducted.

“We conducted a study that measured penile blood flow when the participants were given a variety of odors to sample. They wore surgical masks impregnated with all kinds of different odors: floral smells; colognes; and so forth. As a control, we used the smell of baked cinnamon buns and — lo and behold— the odor of baked cinnamon buns had a greater effect than all of the other samples put together!” Said Hirsch about the study.

Women are more discerning

The study included both women and men. The study showed that men had an easier time to get excited from smells, most scents increased blood supply to the penis to some extent.

But for women it was a little different, some scents left their blood flow unchanged and some scents even decreased the blood flow in the lower regions.
