These are trying times for humanity, 2020 has hit us hard. The coronavirus COVID-19 is spreading at an alarming rate around the world, businesses are closing left and right, and now, to fight this pandemic, we must stay at home and isolate ourselves. So our medical system can catch up to demand.
Staying inside all day can get boring pretty fast. Luckily for you, there are plenty of different ways to keep your brain occupied. You still want to feel alert, fresh and sharp, so it is important to keep those neurons moving.
Usually, the easiest way to accomplish that is a good ‘ol brainteaser, like the crosswords and sudoku that came in the newspapers back in the day.
Nowadays, especially during this pandemic, there is no need to go outside to find brainteasers – thanks to the internet. You are going to be inside anyway, might as well use the opportunity to exercise your brain.
At least that is the way I see it!
There is a nostalgic factor to it, all the way back to school days. We all had that certain teacher who liked to hand out new riddles and tricky math problems for the class to solve within a time limit. It wasn’t always easy, but I always enjoyed this kind of challenge.
With that in mind, I found this riddle on the web earlier this week. Let’s see if you can solve it.
How many holes does the t-shirt have?
According to several websites, which have also featured this puzzle, about 1 in 7 adults comes up with the correct answer on their first attempt.
Therefore, I felt that it’d be better to give you some options to pick from so you can find the solution faster.
How many holes does this t-shirt have? The answer can be – 2, 4, 6 or 8!
Take your time, give it a few seconds. There are probably more holes than you see at first glance! Let those brain cells work for a while before deciding on an answer!
Below the next picture, however, we’ll show you the correct answer!
The answer is 8! Or alternative D.
Below we will explain how we counted that many holes!
There are two holes in the front of the t-shirt, two holes for the arms, one hole for your head and one hole at the bottom for your legs/waist. So you have six holes that you can see from the front. But there are actually two more!
Of course, one must also remember that a t-shirt has two sides! Since you can actually see through this one, that means there are also 2 holes on the back. So two more – a total of 8!
