Don’t kill mosquitoes – let them suck your blood, urges animal-rights activist

However, if someone gets just as angry when a person kills a mosquito as if they were killing a cat or a rabbit. I can understand the principle behind it, but for me, it doesn’t really make sense.

Mosquito killers are an embarrassment

Animal rights activist Aymeric Caron, who is also a French TV presenter, says that mosquitoes suck blood from humans to collect protein for their eggs – and believes they should not be punished with death for doing so, reports Ladbible.

The 47-year-old also clarified that he believes that we should treat all species as equal – and therefore humans should “donate” their blood to mosquitoes.

But he added that Africa is an exception because you risk getting malaria over there.

This, of course, infuriated other animal rights activists.

It’s such an uphill battle to make people understand the consequences of consuming meat for the environment, how the animals suffer in factory farms, and the health risks that come with eating genetically modified animals.

Complaining about mosquitoes does nothing but take away the attention of the real problems that plague our world today.

According to the Independent, Caron also says that people who kill mosquitoes are an embarrassment because it’s just a mother trying to nourish her offspring.

As I said, animals should be treated with respect, but this is going too far. To say that people who kill mosquitoes are evil or an embarrassment I think is just silly – and counterproductive!
