Mom of six, 47, has spent a fortune becoming a “living Barbie” – has no plans to stop

We all have prejudices, whether we like it or not. What we can do, however, is try to grow as people and eventually learn to stop judging others by their looks.

Our appearance has nothing to do with our personality. But despite that fact, most people today think they can figure out what someone is like by taking a quick look at their photo or online post.

Regardless of your ability to tell someone’s character, those who try to stand out from the crowd shouldn’t get bullied online.

Nannette Hammond is a mother of six who has spent a fortune trying to look like a living Barbie doll. However, this has ruffled some feathers on social media.

Here at The Laugh Club, we not only write about things that will make our readers laugh. Instead, we also follow the lives of those who live in a slightly different and unique way. It is our opinion that all people are equally valuable and should be respected regardless of how they live their lives!

The list of procedures is a long one for Nannette. At least four breast surgeries, lip augmentations, botox, and permanent makeup—all this to become a living Barbie doll, reports the Daily Mail.

Spent a fortune

It turns out that Barbie dolls had caught Nannette’s eye early in her life. As a small child, she idolized the dolls; at one point, she had as many as 50 in her room.

Her fascination with Barbies did not go away when after reaching adulthood. Instead, in her 20s, Nannette underwent her first operation. The first of many to come.

Since then, her transformation into a life-sized Barbie has been an ongoing process. Today, Nannette is 47 years old, has six children, and has spent over $500,000 on procedures.

She’s even bought a pink Barbie car.

Worked at a plastic surgery clinic

Nannette tells the newspaper :

“I loved playing with those Barbies. Growing up, I felt shy and self-conscious about my looks and wanted to be just like the dolls. That’s why I wanted to be just like the dolls. I imagined they’d always be happy and I felt drab in comparison. I didn’t like my hair colour and as a teen, I really wanted bigger breasts.”

For a time, cosmetic surgery was such a significant interest for Nannette that she started working as a nurse in a plastic surgery clinic.

Supported by her husband

Unsurprisingly, Nannette receives plenty of criticism for her unique interest in Barbie dolls. Many bullies online tell her she looks ridiculous, something she does her best to ignore.

Instead, the 47-year-old focus on completing her transformation into a “living Barbie.”

Nannette’s husband, whom she met in her 30s, supports his wife’s body project and helps her financially to achieve her dreams.
