Reading, writing, and counting. These were the three pillars of basic education we learned in school, and regardless of whether you were good or bad at them, it is something you eventually got better at after years of practice.
However, with a hand on your heart, answer me: how much do you actually remember about math?
Sure, simpler problems are not that much of a challenge, but what about the ones you had to solve back in your school years?
I thought we would take to test how much we remember – I hope you can do it!
Brainteasers can come in many forms, but it doesn’t matter what you do. The important part is that you give those brain cells a good workout regularly to keep the mind sharp and healthy.
Ordinary math equation
This can be done by solving different challenges and puzzles. Usually, things like crossword puzzles or sudoku are the most common, as they are always included in magazines and newspapers.
But there are a lot of other tests online that can also help you work out that brain of yours.
The next one is not a super-advanced problem, but just an ordinary school math equation.
The fun thing about these types of puzzles is that you must think back and try to remember how to correctly calculate them to get the answer.
Can you figure out the answer?
Here comes today’s challenge.
In the picture below, we see several numbers in a row.
Your task is to, as fast as you can, figure out which number should go at the end, where the question mark is.
Here comes the picture.
Can you figure out this math equation?
It’s not easy, but if you think about it for a while, it will come to you.
If you can’t see it, the answer will be below!
Here is the correct answer
If you have not found the right answer, we will show it below the next picture.
The correct answer is 3.
But how do we arrive at that answer?
Between 18 and 10, there is a difference of 8.
And between 10 and 6, there is a difference of 4.
Finally, between 6 and 4, there is a difference of 2.
Therefore, as the difference is half in every number, there will be a difference of 1 between 4 and 3, which makes number 3 the correct answer.
Did you get the correct answer? Congratulations to you in that case!
