A man was heading home from work. Unfortunately, his bus got canceled, so he had to call a cab. While sitting in the cab, he noticed that the driver missed a turn in an intersection.
The man carefully tapped the cabbie on the shoulder and said, “Sorry Sir, but…”
The driver screamed, “AAAAAAHHHH!”
The cabbie completely lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, missed a biker, scraped a fire hydrant and stopped just 1 feet from a department store shop window.
Dead quiet
For a full 3 seconds, everything went dead quiet in the cab.
Then the driver slowly turned around and said, “Look, don’t ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!”
The passenger apologized and said, “I didn’t realize that a little tap on the shoulder would scare you so much.”
The cabbie replied, “Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as a taxi driver. For the last 25 years I’ve been driving a hearse!”
