Women warned not to put popsicles in their vagina – to cool off during heatwave

Right now, we are in the middle of a heatwave affecting most states in the USA. The extreme hotness is pretty hard to bear. Furthermore, according to different forecasts, it seems that temperatures will rise further in the upcoming weeks.

People are doing whatever they can, trying to cool off. Avoiding direct exposure to the sun, drinking a lot of water, even sitting indoors with the ac on.

Now, British news site The Mirror reported about women that, out of pure desperation, have tried to cool themselves down by inserting ice cream into their lady parts. However, this method is something that experts, and common sense, strongly advise against.

We can all get desperate when it gets too hot and, of course, we should be careful to take the appropriate steps to not let our health be affected. At the same time, it is important to try to be smart and stick to the common solutions – like staying in the shade and drinking lots of liquid.

The experts warn

If you become too desperate and resort to extreme methods – it can get pretty bad.

However, as a woman, to put ice cream in your vagina, literally, is something you should never do. At least if you choose to believe Dr. Sarah Welsh, co-founder of the condom brand HANX.

She told Metro, which also reported this new and strange “trend”:

“The vagina is composed of very delicate and sensitive skin, hence things that may seem innocent to other areas of the body, if they come in contact with the vagina, can cause infections, irritations, and damage. There are many things that should never go near a vagina and ice cream is up there. The ice can stick to the delicate skin of the vagina and cause real trauma and damage.”

Sarah Welsh also adds, according to the newspaper, that the sugar contained in the ice cream can disrupt the natural PH balance in the vagina – and there is also a risk that it may break inside of it and could be difficult to get it out.

So if anyone, contrary to common sense, would want to put ice cream up their vagina to cool down from the heatwave – try something else instead. Certainly, something safer!
