Our brains have an amazing ability of playing tricks on us when we’re faced with unusual and unexpected situations. We humans are great at making predictions and seeing patterns – but that also means that when something doesn’t match our expectations, we often miss it completely.
Lately, brain teasers and interesting puzzles have gotten more and more popular online. It’s great fun to challenge yourself, and then share them with your friends to find out who’s the sharpest tool in the shed!
These tricky mind teasers can be anything from finding how many tigers are hidden in a picture to finding a specific word in a jumble of letters. There are a lot of fun ways of challenging our brain!
There are even some pieces of art that do this too, and they’re more than meets the eye. On such example is the painting below – and I can almost guarantee that you can’t figure out how many faces there are in it!
Tricky challenge
Most people can’t find all the faces, and apparently only 1 in 10 get it right on their first try. Our modern society is all about quickly jumping from activity to activity – we seldom take our time and just sit patiently, focusing on one single task.
Being calm and patient is of great help here, so take your time and look this painting over several times. There are more hidden faces than I first thought. I found 4 faces, but that wasn’t even half of them!
