Teenager makes teacher’s class a living hell – so his dad pops up in class to teach the kid a real lesson

17-year-old Bradley Howard lives in Rockwall, Texas. He had, like many other teenagers, a hard time to keep quiet during class. Although his physics teacher repeatedly contacted his parents about it, the teenager continued to interrupt the classes.

“We got a call…”

His parents realized that they had to put their foot down, not just for Bradley’s sake but for the well-being of the other students in the classroom.

So his dad, Brad Howard, got a great idea. He warned his son he would do the most embarrassing thing in a teenager’s eyes if he heard another complaint from the teacher.

“For some reason I said, ‘Hey, if we get another call I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class,” Brad told Buzzfeed.

They got another call

The parents were now convinced it was a good response, hoping that Brad’s “threat” would make Bradley get his act together, but it didn’t take many days before the phone rang again.

It was, as they feared, the teacher calling to report that the teenager was talking during class again.

It was the last straw.

“Was super shocked”

One morning when Bradley came to school, he saw his own father sitting in the middle of the classroom.

“I didn’t even notice him until after I had said hi to all of my friends, but I was super shocked,” said the teenager to Buzzfeed.

Unsurprisingly, his father’s actions got the rest of the class, including the teacher, laughing out loud.

Thousands are cheering

Bradley has a little sister, Molli, who also thought her father’s initiative was pretty funny, posted a picture about the classroom visit.

Thousands have cheered the picture already – partly because it’s funny but also to pay tribute to Brad’s parenting skills.

“The men in this family have become known. We had plenty of fun about this but we hope to avoid more conversations about Bradley interrupting the physics lessons!” Wrote Mom Denise on Facebook.

What a smart – and fun – solution coming from his parents! Now, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for Bradley to keep quiet during classroom from now on!
