There is nothing worse than a bad neighbor. Sure, you come across plenty of nasty people during your life, there’s no escaping that, but when it comes to the person living right next to you, things can escalate quickly.
Having an idiot neighbor means a lot of stress, regardless of how you approach the situation.
The family in our story was in the middle of a dispute with their neighbors. The whole thing would, however, take an unexpected turn when the father decided to take matters into his own hands.
“Neighbors are complete nutjob”
On Reddit, an anonymous user, who claims to be the son/daughter of the main culprit of this “Pro Revenge”, shared the story that takes off as the neighbors ran over their fence car almost daily, reports RonProject.
“We live in a small private neighborhood, the neighbors are related to us more or less (distant relatives). Everybody here is a complete nutjob. They were constantly arguing over decades before me or my brother were even born,” u/MihaM12 wrote.
“Our property line is kinda like a square and it is surrounded by road from two sides. Keep in mind that on one part of the road we let our neighbors use 1 square meter of the land so they could use the road safer and not damage our property This is crucial information.”
Turned Petty into ProRevenge
He goes on to explain that the neighbors ordered a “massive truck filled with tons of wood,” which ran over the family’s fence, destroying their bushes, and the metal part was completely bent. Of course, neighbors refused to pay for the damages. So instead of just accepting defeat, this father started plotting his revenge.
Being a police officer, he knew the law, so he dug up the property line marker and placed plastic barrels filled with rocks on his property. “In the next 6 hours, 3 of our neighbors came knocking on the door because they hit our plastic barrels filled with rocks. They were angry and wanted to call the cops.” But they never did. Because they knew that they were on the wrong.
However, the neighbors didn’t learn a single thing. Instead, they continued hitting the barrels until the point they became useless. That was, however, the last straw, u/MihaM12‘s Dad had had enough – so he came up with an ingenious plan that his Petty revenge into a ProRevenge.
Bought cement and metal bars
“My dad was furious. He cut out wood to use as a mold. He bought cement, sand and metal bars. One quiet afternoon, I and my dad cemented the entire disputed part at our site and placed some beautiful flowers on top (which then covered the sharp metal bars). So when they were going to run across the plants they could feel the sweet scent of our victory.”
It seemed like the plan would work, however, it was much more effective than they expected.
While the family sat down and waited for their revenge, the neighbors destroyed eight (!) Of their cars by driving over the fence at the now cemented fence.
However, they never complained – knowing it was too embarrassing to do anything other than accept defeat in this neighbor feud.
