Jimmy has the world record for taking the longest dump

Most of us stay longer than we should in the bathroom. Thanks to our phones, we have access to games, videos, and social media.

With such a handy distraction, it’s unsurprisingly hard to get back into the real world full of responsibilities, work, and chores.

However, a man from Belgium took this to the extreme as he, according to himself, broke the world record by sitting on the toilet for 116 hours, writes Reuters TV.

116 hours is approximately 4.8 days. That was exactly the time the 48-year-old Belgian Jimmy De Frenne spent on a toilet in an attempt to break the world record for the longest bathroom visit.

“Why not?”

But why did he want to set this world record?

“Self-mockery is the best humor there is. Why am I doing this? Why not? There is nothing I like more than people making fun of me because then I can do the same with them,” he told Reuters TV.

Had to take toilet breaks

The very toilet on which Jimmy put down the headlight sat in the middle of a bar in his hometown of Ostend.

The toilet itself was not connected to any sewer system, which led Jimmy – ironically – to having to take bathroom breaks from his toilet seating.

There is no official world record

Unfortunately, Guinness World Records has no official world record for toilet seating yet. Still, Jimmy says he has heard of a person who spent 100 hours on a toilet seat – something Jimmy has now beat by 16 hours.

In the end, Jimmy gave up.

“I’m very tired, and my legs hurt, but I believe in my success and try to make this record official,” he said, according to Reuters TV.

Would you be able to sit on the toilet for so long? My legs fall asleep after only 15 minutes!
