Horny thieves steal anal dildos worth $1000 – now police are asking for help to find them

The police in the town of Petone, New Zealand, are now looking for the thieves that stole slightly more unusual items – namely, anal dildos.

It was during a Sunday, when sex shop Peaches & Cream suffered the theft of their erected merchandise, in the dual sense of the words.

The two female thieves, wanted by the police, left the shop with two anal dildos, a vibrator, and a dress. Writes the site Newshub.

The local press named the sex-toys thieves “The buttplug bandits”. These two were caught by the sex shop’s surveillance camera, showing them putting the anal plugs and other toys inside their bags.

Confronted by the staff

The staff in the store became suspicions since the women’s bags seemed to grow bigger as they walked around the shop. When they were heading for the exit, the staff confronted them.

“One woman – who looked pretty scared – opened her bag, returned one item, and apologized. However, the other refused to open her bag and left with unpaid-for merchandise. I gave her multiple chances to return the item but she said no,” a staff member told Newshub.

Approximately $1000

The two “anal climaxer” plugs are worth over $300 each, the “Hustler” vibrator is worth $250 and the leopard print dress is worth around $100. Total value: approximately $1000.

The store, cooperating with the local police, has taken pictures from the surveillance cameras so that the “butt plug bandits” can face proper justice.

“We’d rather give our attention to genuine customers. It just takes away from the customer experience when we have to be on guard. That’s not what we work in our stores for. We want to work with customers,” the staff member told Newshub.

“They steal lube, they steal vibrators, they steal masturbators, they steal lingerie, they steal DVDs. I think most of it would be personal use but some are stealing products to resell,” the Peaches and Cream CEO told Newshub.

Don’t want the anal plugs back

Even if the police find the thieves, the shop does not want to have the items back.

“No, what is stolen is often used by the thieves themselves so we cannot take them back, said the CEO to Newshub.

If the police catch the thieves, they will instead have to reimburse the full sum for the toys.
