Vibrator overheats – 22 firefighters needed to stop the massive fire

As a firefighter, you duties cover a wide range of possibilities. If an animal gets stuck in a tree, or someone locks themselves inside their bathroom – and if there is a fire that needs to be extinguished, you are the one people will call.

There are many cases of fire alarms, but I wonder whether the firefighters in Mieming, Austria, have ever responded to one as strange as the one during Sunday night.

The 22 firefighters at the station headed out – to extinguish a burning dildo, writes the Austrian site Tiroler Tageszeitung.

It was on Sunday night that the alarm went off for the local firefighters in the Austrian municipality of Mieming. A worried driver called emergencies about a fire near a country road. The firefighters didn’t want to take any chances and sent out the entire firefighting force.

Blazing Vibrator

The firefighters thought the fire was from a car tire, something they previously experienced on the road.

But when they arrived at the site of the fire, they had a hard time keeping a straight face.

There, in the intersection, was a battery-powered blazing vibrator.

The culprit: an external power bank

When the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, they deduced that the vibrator started burning after being connected to an external power bank. Later they found out the toy was made by the popular brand Womanizer.

Exactly how did a burning vibrator ended up on the side of the road will remain a mystery. Maybe it was thrown out of a car when it caught fire.

It took the firefighters less than 15 minutes to extinguish the overheated sex toy.

No suspects

The case has been handed to the local police, but no investigation has started.

This is because the fire endangered no one, and because of that, this will make it hard to find the person behind the blazing vibrator on the roadside.
