Only 1 in 5 are able to solve this puzzle on their first try – can you do it?

Challenging yourself and sinking your teeth into riddles and tricky puzzles is something that just gets more fun with age. I used to avoid stuff like this when I was younger, but as the years have gone by, I’ve really learned to appreciate challenging myself.

Most of us are living very passive lives these days, with many hours spent in front of a monitor, mobile phone or TV. That’s why it’s so important to exercise your brain. I always feel fresh and alert after spending a few minutes on a tricky brainteaser!

That being said, the puzzles shouldn’t be too hard, or you’ll only end up frustrated. It can be tricky finding ones that aren’t too hard or too easy, but this one was just right for me!

I found it online, and I just had to share it with you. I showed it to some of my coworkers, and only about 1 in 5 managed to solve it on their first try! So don’t rush it – think long and hard about the answer.

The puzzle

Can you figure out the number of the parking spot containing the car?

Pretty tricky, right? If you want the solution, simply scroll down.

To make things easier, look at the parking spaces from the other direction:

That’s right – turn the image around, and you’ll see that the parking spot numbers that previously appeared to be 16, 06, 68, 88 and 98 are in fact 86, 88, 89, 90 and 91.

I think most people can figure out which number the car is parked on when looking at it this way.

The answer is 87!

Press the SHARE button if you had the right answer, or if you just want to challenge your friends! I’m sure they could use a little mental pick-me-up today – it never hurts to exercise your brain!
