Eli, 27, has tattooed his whole body black – even the whites of his eyes and inside of his mouth

Most of us are content with being one of many and melting into the crowd. But some people are obsessed with standing out and being unique. To achieve this, they undergo surgery and invasive procedures to change their natural look.

Personally, I would never do something like that, but everyone has the right to choose for themselves, so I respect people who go their own way. But when people’s desires to be unique turn into obsessions, that’s where it starts getting unhealthy.

Eli Ink is 27 years old and lives in Brighton, United Kingdom. He works as a tattoo artist, and for the last 10 years, he’s been modifying his body and covering his whole body in tattoos, the Daily Mail reports.

Today, almost every inch of his body is covered in ink.

Inspired by Picasso

He’s extremely interested in different forms of art, and names Picasso as his greatest inspiration, even when it comes to his personal transformation.

“Body art was just a natural step for me,” Eli Ink tells the Daily Mail. He reveals that his aspiration is to look like an abstract character from one of Picasso’s paintings.

“In my opinion, the only person who will only ever understand my transition properly is me.”

He has spent the last ten years transforming himself, including tattooing most of his skin black with several coats of ink. He has also tattooed the inside of his mouth, and dyed his eyes pitch black. The 27-year-old has also implanted stretchers in his nose and under his bottom lip.

“Will never be finished”

He has had an extreme transformation, but he’s still not done.

“I will never be finished. It will take me the rest of my life to finish my studies, but I am dedicating the rest of my life to body modification and perfecting my work,” he said.

Eli said that he always appreciates compliments, but the many negative reactions don’t bother him anymore. This despite him looking so different and extraordinary that children have started crying after seeing him.

“The best is always nice compliments, either from tattoo collectors or just passers-by. But the worst is always older generation looking down on you and making you feel worthless. But this is all a state of mind. I don’t take much notice anymore.”
