This family will help you get to the end of the pandemic – with their Lockdown Boogie

It’s been more than a year since the coronavirus pandemic broke out. Most of us have been forced to stay at home and avoid meeting friends and family. Thankfully, as more and more people get vaccinated, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Being isolated from the rest of the world can get tricky. By this point, you’ve probably seen all your streaming services can offer, re-read all your books, and gotten tired of playing the same board games over and over. There are only so many things you can do locked up inside your house after a whole year.

However, we can’t let this stop us, especially when we are so close to the end.

A New Zealand family knows this perfectly, and they’ve come up with a fantastic idea – recording a music video about quarantine.

Family Lockdown Boogie

The Buchanans, a family comprised of mom Jo, dad Graeme, Jack the son, Lani the daughter, and Maisie the dog, created a music video that immediately became a viral hit: “The Family Lockdown boogie.”

The idea came from Jack, who got help from Anna Robinson for the choreography. Add in the family’s sweet dance moves, and the rest is history.

The song is about how the government and the virus incarcerated the family at home, and how they started getting on each other’s nerves.

So for the sake of their sanity, there’s only one thing they could do – dance it out.

The music video has already been seen by over 3.6 million people since they uploaded it to youtube.

The video has become a viral hit. Even the New Zealand Finance Minister Grant Robertson has shared his support of such creative work.

Great fun to see and a great time for families to reconnect at home… many just don’t get the time in recent years, often due to both parents having to work… Make the most of it because this can and will bring lifelong memories… Hopefully, really happy ones, even though they came from a crisis situation.
