Shampoo, conditioner, and other products wear out the hair if used daily. Therefore, it may be better to wash your hair every second time you shower, or something like that.
With that said, Swedish Victoria Vesterlund has taken the “don’t use products” thing to the extremes – she hasn’t washed her hair in several years.
Washing your hair is, for most people, something you mostly do when you stand in the shower trying to get ready for the day.
However, buying shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products gets expensive, and we all wonder if it’s necessary. The lengths we need to go to resemble the hair of the people on TV and magazines are hardly worth the trouble for most of us.
Haven’t washed her hair in years
For Victoria Vesterlund, a Swedish vegan enthusiast, deciding which hair products to buy is not a problem – since she hasn’t used any for the past several years.
Instead, she just rinses it with water – which, according to her, is the key to her hair looking fabulous every day.
Victoria’s secrets for the perfect hair
Here are some of this Swedish Health Guru’s Tips:
Get your hair used to getting washed as often, but do it gradually so that the hair goes through a learning curve.
Eat healthy and organic foods with a lot of vitamin C.
Drink lots of water.
Massage the scalp regularly.
After cutting it: put coconut oil on the tips and do not rinse.
After a shower, let the hair dry by itself, don’t use a hairdryer.
Vegan food only
Victoria is educated in nutrition and has published a cookbook where she shares her best recipes for raw vegan food.
She is also very active online. Through Social Media, she shares many health and diet tips with her thousands of followers.
